L-com Wins Six Stevie Awards. One Gold, Two Silver and Three Bronze

L-com, a designer and manufacturer of wired and wireless connectivity products, received six new Stevie awards from the 2012 International Business Awards (IBA). L-com won a gold award for Best New Product or Service of the Year - Telecommunications Hardware. This is the first time that L-com wins an award from the international Stevie competition.

Like the ABA, the IBA awards Stevie trophies to companies and individuals that are judged to be the best in each category. Each judge scores all of the entries in a category to determine the finalists. Then, they give each finalist entry a score from 1 to 10, and the highest final average score in each category wins a gold. For entrants that do not win a gold, they may still win a silver as long as their final average is at least 8.0 out of 10. All other finalists receive bronze statues.

In addition to the gold award for Best New Product or Service of the Year - Telecommunications Hardware, L-com also won two silver awards in the categories: Company of the Year - Computer Hardware, and Best New Product or Service of the Year - Industrial Products & Services. The remaining three bronze awards are for Website - Electronics, Most Innovative Company of the Year in Canada and the U.S.A., and Customer Service Department of the Year.

Chris Long, Senior VP of Marketing and E-commerce said that in the past few years L-com has won a number of Stevies based on thier North American operations, and those awards reflect their leadership in their domestic market. "Recently, we began to sell our products in international markets, and these new awards show that high quality brand connectivity products and exceptional customer service are highly valued in international markets as well," said Long.
