1972The world’s first functioning radar level gauge was designed, marking the beginning of radar-based level measurement development.
1973The first radar level gauge field trial is installed on a marine vessel in Sweden.
1976The first mass-produced system, called SUM-21 Tank Radar System, is installed on the Norwegian vessel M/S Havdrott. 
1978The company moves its offices and production site to Gamlestaden in Gothenburg, Sweden to support the rapidly expanding marine industry.
1983Saab Marine Electronics becomes a limited liability company within Saab-Scania Combitech
1984Land-based tank installations of TankRadar L Radar Level Gauge start
1985The TankRadar M Radar Level Gauge is launched to the marine market
1990Launch of the second generation land-based TankRadar L2
1997Launch of TankRadar PRO Radar Level Gauge, designed for applications in the process industry
1999Launch of TankRadar REX Radar Level Gauge, as the third generation radar in the Tank Gauging System.
2001Emerson acquires Saab Marine Electronics and later changes its name to Rosemount Tank Radar
2002The marine TankRadar Star Tank Gauging System is launched. In the same year, the Rosemount 3300 Guided Wave Radar Transmitter is launched for the process industry.
2004Emerson launches the two-wire Non-Contacting Radar Rosemount 5400 in both 6 and 26 GHz versions.
2007The world’s most successful Guided Wave Radar, the Rosemount 5300, was launched. 
2010A new Tank Gauging System with the newly developed Rosemount 5900 Radar Level Gauge is launched. The Rosemount 5900 is the first 2-in-1 radar gauge, which can be used for both level (ATG) and separate overfill prevention (OPS-Sensor) measurements.
2013Emerson launches the world’s first wireless guided wave radar, the Rosemount 3308.
2016In April, the company moves its offices and production plant to a new state-of-art facility in Mölnlycke, Sweden. The facility provides optimized manufacturing capability and an enhanced range of services, support, and training for users of Emerson’s radar level measurement products in the terminals, processing and shipping industries.
2017Emerson introduces the Rosemount 5408 Non-Contacting Radar Level Transmitter, a safety-certified non-contacting level radar to help increase plant safety and worker efficiency.
2018The Interactive Plant Environment at the Mölnlycke site is inaugurated. This new environment provides a totally immersive and real-world application scenario for hands-on training and demonstrations and also allows for further development and testing of the next generation of level devices.
2021The Rosemount TankMaster Mobile Software is launched to the market in April, and the Rosemount 1408H Non-Contacting Level Transmitter and Rosemount 1408A Level and Flow Transmitter are launched in June and October respectively.
2022The Radar Level portfolio advances its process and diagnostic insight capabilities with Smart Meter Verification and Bluetooth™ enabled products.
2023The Rosemount 3408 Non-Contacting Radar Level Transmitter, which is designed to suit many applications in the process industry, and the Rosemount 1208 Non-Contacting Radar Level and Flow Transmitter Series, designed for the water and wastewater industry and general simple applications, are launched. To complement these products Rosemount 3490 for control functionality and visual presentation will be launched in the coming months.
