July 13, 2010

ProComSol, Ltd adds HART registration and CE certification for the HM-USB-ISO HART modem. The HM-USB-ISO passed the rigorous HART Communication Foundation (HCF) registration program and has been registered by the HCF to meet protocol specifications. The small size, light weight and durability of the HM-USB-ISO HART modem make it ideal for portable use. Most notebook computers do not have serial ports, making the USB interface the only available way to connect to HART networks. The HM-USB-ISO also derives its operating power from the USB connection, eliminating the need for an external power supply and further adding to its mobility. The HM-USB-ISO modem is similar to the HM-USB modem except that it has 1500 Vdc electrical isolation between the USB and HART circuits. The electrical isolation provides enhanced safety and performance. The HM-USB-ISO HART modem meets industry standards for USB connectivity. The USB interface is compatible with both USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 standards. The HART interface also meets the HART physical layer specification HCF_SPEC-54.
