Sitrans LR560 78-GHz rugged radar transmitter handles most solids applications, including extreme dust and high-temperature environments, small particles, and jagged solid materials, including those with steep angle of repose. A focused, narrow beam signal allows the transmitter to reach the bottom of steep conical silos as tall as 100 m (328 ft.). Interference from sidewall and structural internal supports is not seen or is easily compensated, and the lens antenna and standard vortex purge system provide self-cleaning of sticky solids.
