Firmware update 1.4.1 for the groov Edge Programmable Industrial Controller (EPIC) adds secure remote access via VPN client technology and the choice of Inductive Automation’s Ignition Edge software or its full Ignition platform that allows groov EPIC to serve as an industrially hardened OPC-UA server to legacy PLCs, eliminating the need for Windows-based computers to perform this function. The free upgrade also has new diagnostic and troubleshooting tools, two Gigabit Ethernet network interfaces, IEC 61131-3-compliant CODESYS Runtime support for a new communication module and more.
