Galeski gets accolade. Maverick system integrator honored by alma mater SIU Edwardsville

Oct. 23, 2008

Congratulations to Paul Galeski, who proved that Jim Pinto's rule that system integrators couldn't grow beyond a very small limit was wrong. He's been inducted into the Inaugural class of the SIUE alumni hall of fame.

MAVERICK Technologies CEO Inducted Into Inaugural SIUE Alumni Hall of Fame

COLUMBIA, Ill., October 21, 2008 — MAVERICK Technologies, a global engineering, systems integration and operational consulting firm, announced that its CEO and founder, Paul Galeski, has been admitted to the inaugural class of the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Alumni Hall of Fame. Galeski and the other 12 inductees were honored at an awards dinner held October 10 at the Crystal Garden Banquet and Events Center in Edwardsville.

The SIUE Alumni Hall of Fame was developed by the SIUE Alumni Association and the university's deans to recognize and honor alumni who have made significant contributions to their chosen fields, communities and SIUE, through leadership, character and hard work. SIUE selected Galeski for his more than 25 years of experience in engineering, industrial automation, business ownership, sales, marketing and mergers / acquisitions. Following graduation from SIUE in 1983 with a bachelor's in electrical engineering, he began his professional career working as a control systems engineer. He went on to build two engineering companies from the ground up — MAGNUM Technologies and MAVERICK Technologies — growing each into a major global services provider.

"I am deeply honored to accept this award," said Galeski. "Many SIUE graduates have gone on to have successful careers, and I am proud to stand among them. I look forward to continuing to give back to SIUE and my local community in appreciation of how they have helped me get where I am today."

A commemorative Hall of Fame plaque will be prominently displayed within each respective school or college at the university. For more information about the 2008 SIUE Alumni Hall of Fame and a complete list of inductees, visit http://www.siue.edu/alumni/halloffamedinner.shtml.
