"The operators never saw a difference." MTL announces the Tofino device

Eric Byres, CEO of Byres Security, announced the Tofino Industrial Security Solution (as reported in the October issue of Control) at ISA quoting one of his beta testers. "That's what we had in mind. Complete protection, without a difference to the operator." MTL then introduced the F809F on line fieldbus monitor with full device description support. The device shows up as a fieldbus device itself. The device handles up to 32 devices. It permits graceful shutdown when it sees a problem. MTL continues to be a single source for terminal to terminal solutions," said Ian Verhappen, MTL's director of networking.
