C6040 ultra-compact industrial PC (IPC), adds scalability in terms of power and interface options to its C60xx series. Using 12th-gen Intel Core processors with up to 16 cores, this controller is ideal for handling complex automation projects in one ruggedized device measuring just 132 x 202 x 76 mm.
The i7 and i9 processors used in C6040 are the first to be installed in a hybrid architecture, which means four additional efficiency cores are added to the i7 and eight to the i9 processors. This combination of performance and efficiency cores allows applications to be implemented on a total of 12 or 16 processor cores.
In addition, each individual core can be configured individually via the clock frequency. An additional power supply integrated on C6040’s motherboard developed and produced inhouse by Beckhoff offers ample power reserves to utilize the computing capabilities of C6040’s processors.
