Finding Control's Magazine Exclusive Articles Has Never Been So Easy
By Katherine Bonfante, Managing Editor, Digital Media

Don’t you hate when this happens to you? You’re watching your favorite show or movie and suddenly you get distracted for a second. Right then, at the speed of light, the most important part of the plot gets revealed, but guess what, you missed it. Maybe you’re watching the news, and you’re waiting to get that bit of information you need—an address, phone number or website—but it’s on screen for such short time that you have no time to write it down, much less memorize it. What’s worse, you still haven’t jumped on the bandwagon and gotten a DVR or TiVo, so you can’t replay the message. Doesn’t it suck when you can’t find what you need?

Control is always telling you about magazine Web exclusives. Every month in our print edition, we give you links to the Web exclusive articles. I’ll bet that sometimes you don’t have the time to come to our site right away and read those articles. Instead, you make a note of it—in the back of your mind—to go to ControlGlobal.com and check out the article later. You don’t memorize the link (who would?), and when you log on, you can’t find your copy of our magazine. At this point you just decide to search for the magazine exclusive article yourself, right?

Which leaves you scratching your head and asking…what was the name of that article? Who wrote it? If you’re search-engine challenged, at this point you can’t find any of the articles. You just get frustrated. Soon you hear yourself screaming “I wish ControlGlobal had a direct link to all its magazine exclusive articles.”

Now your prayers have been answered. Your frustrations are now part of the past. We have made your life easier. We’ve made your online experience more enjoyable and saved you some unnecessary search time in the bargain.

We present you ControlGlobal.com/extras/magexclusives.html. Psst… It’s right in front of you. It’s on the home page.

Our magazine exclusive page lists all those articles we have been advertising as Web exclusives in the past months. You’re not only getting a direct link to the current month’s Web exclusive articles, but if you scroll down on the page, you can access previous months’ magazine Web exclusive articles.

Didn’t I say we were making your life easier? Now, how to get ControlGlobal.com to read your mind and open the exact page you want to see? Well, that might take a few more years and a lot more technological advances on part of computer engineers and web programmers, but meanwhile get some exercise. Walk over to the computer, stretch your fingers a little and type our URL. The rest is up to us. We’ll put our information in plain sight, and we won’t make it so difficult for you to find it. I promise.
