Waterless Fracking Method Could Sidestep NY Gas Drilling Ban-- #fracking #environment #pauto #automation #oilandgas

The law of unintended consequences has hit hard in green energy and natural gas lately. Windfarms are being found to cause issues with the people who live near them; solar panels shift the pollution to the wafer fab from the power plant, nuclear energy has stopped dead, biomass just raised the price of corn and therefore meat and eggs...see what I mean?

And in the natural gas world, fracking has come under incredible scrutiny because the links between fracking using treated water and mud have been proven to cause earthquakes and water pollution.

And in the natural gas world, fracking has come under incredible scrutiny because the links between fracking using treated water and mud have been proven to cause earthquakes and water pollution.

Here we have an alternate method of fracking, using natural gas to frack to get more natural gas out of the rock.

Does it work? Seems to.

Will they use it? Probably.

Is there likely to be some unintended consequence? Sure. There are unintended consequences with every decision. "Ya pays yer money and takes yer chance," as they say.

Science Fiction novelist and Futurist, Robert A. Heinlein said, "Of course the game is rigged, but if you don't play you can't win."
