Well, we've known it all along here, but now it's offical. Walt Boyes, Control's editor and chief, has been named a Fellow of the Institute of Measurement and Control, a London-based institution that brings together thinkers and practitioners from the many disciplines which have a common interest in measurement and control.

Well, we've known it all along here, but now it's offical. Walt Boyes, Control's editor and chief, has been named a Fellow of the Institute of Measurement and Control, a London-based institution that brings together thinkers and practitioners from the many disciplines which have a common interest in measurement and control.

The Institute disseminates and advances the knowledge of measurement and control and its application at all levels. It produces several technical and academic publications and conducts meetings, seminars, exhibitions and national and international conferences on measurement and control topics.

Fellows are selected based on successfully demonstrating, through technical or other roles, significant contribution to, and superior responsibility in, the industry. Candidates are expected to have more than eight years’ acceptable professional experience, of which at least the most recent five years have involved responsibility in a senior corporate, or equivalent, capacity.

Walt is also an ISA Life Fellow
