As we're getting ready to send the magazine off to the printer on Friday, I thought you'd all be interested in a sneak preview of the cover and some of the articles we're running for May.

My editorial is about WBF...and why, at this critical time, we all need to stand up and contribute to WBF so the organization can survive not being able to hold its 2009 North American and European conferences because of industry travel restrictions and the melt-down of the economy.

We have lots of good products, a Roundup of Level instrumentation, a Resources Focus on loop controllers (yes, people not only still make them, but people still use them and the market for small loop controllers is actually quite healthy).

Technically Speaking, by Dan Hebert, is a thoughtful look at system integrators who produce products that have grown out of their integration efforts. Dan also has produced a feature on PC based control. We'll have articles by Keith Larson, John Rezabek, Ask the Experts, and ControlTalk with McMillan and Weiner.
