Walter Bajek, former VP of UOP passes away

March 4, 2009

Walter Bajek wasn't a member of the Process Automation Hall of Fame, but he probably should have been. When I was a young man, first getting involved with ISA, Walt Bajek, who by then had already been ISA President and was VP of Engineering for UOP, now part of Honeywell, took me under his wing and gave me, over the years, some essential advice. "We Walts have to stick together," Bajek told me, with an evil twinkle in his eye.

Walt had been in declining health the past few years, and he passed away Monday, March 2.
