Out of Control . . . The More Things Change Dept.

Okay. We're way past living in "interesting times." More like "scary," or, depending on who your favorite tea-leaf reader is, "apocolyptic." True, the roller coaster ride continues to be a wild one, but it might be a good thing to pause and take a deep breath. No matter what the shrieking heads are saying, these are NOT times unlike any others.

Our buddy Nick Debow across the pond at Processing Talk has sent the following out in an email this morning.

"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest [the country] become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance."

The talking head is Cicero.  The year is 55 BC. Get him out of that toga and he can go on TV cable shout land tonight.

Let's keep some perspective, folks.
