Assuming the relevant oversight boards at ISA approve the budget and agree to continue the event, Shari Worthington and I expect that we will be running a 2007 Marketing and Sales Summit. Where and when, and who the keynoters will be are still to be determined.
But I strongly recommend that if you are in marketing, sales management, or product management in an automation supplier company or system integrator, you put money in the budget to attend. If you have new hires who are just joining marketing or sales or product management organizations in your company, you should budget to have them attend.
We are going to limit attendance to 150, which, since we hit 76 on our first try, we should easily hit.
So budget to be there.
And if you have a public relations and/or advertising firm working for you, you ought to suggest (firmly, if necessary) that they send an attendee or two. It never ceases to amaze me how few PR folks and employees of outside agencies really understand what we're doing here. This is a great opportunity to get them to find out.
