ISA's First Annual Marketing & Sales Summit Speaks to Senior Marketing Professionals

Research Triangle Park, NC (21 August 2006) - Worldwide expert Jane Lansing, Vice President of Marketing at Emerson, will give a keynote address at ISA's first annual Marketing and Sales Summit, held 13-15 September at the Omni Hotel in Austin, Texas. Lansing's topic, "Engineers are People, Too," will focus on marketing to engineers and technical customers. Her presentation will explore methods of communicating effectively with audiences, implementing efficient marketing in a challenging environment, and developing effective tools for a sales force. "For years, marketers have been faced with a challenge to do more with less," said industry guru Shari Worthington, co-chair of the summit. "This keynote, and our entire program, will speak to that challenge and provide attendees with real information that they can use when they get back to their companies." Other event highlights include: * On 13 September, an evening networking reception will be held, and plenary speaker Dan Micklovic will give a presentation entitled "The State of the Manufacturing Industry." * On 14 September, four unique breakout sessions will be led by industry experts. Session topics include sales management, marketing communications, e-marketing, strategy, and branding. * On 15 September, a Product Management Workshop led by instructor Barbara Finer of Quivivity, will focus on leading a sales team, defining winning products, and launching innovative campaigns for new offerings. Sponsored by the ISA Management Division, ISA's Marketing and Sales Summit will help marketing and sales executives in the automation markets meet the strategic and tactical challenges of the 21st century. The unique event is designed exclusively for senior sales and marketing professionals in the automation markets. Keynotes and plenary sessions from Gartner, Inc., ABB, Honeywell, and more will address the state of the manufacturing industry, the changing role of the senior marketing and sales executive, and the shift to service selling. Breakout sessions will provide practical information on search engine marketing, solution selling, public relations, branding, and more.
