Donnalee Skaggs, newly-named vice president for technology for HPS noted that Honeywell's focus ois first and foremost to listen to the customer. "It is a fundamental Honeywell strategy," she said, to provide support for existing products and a migration strategy at your pace. "All customers are not created equaln and we understand that," she said. "Honeywell has a unique capability to improve business performance and peace of mind." She showed several customer testimonials, and then noted that she was "focused on continuous improvement. What problem are we solving? What problem are we solving?" We promise, she said, four "rights": Right Solution Right Quality Right time Right value. Then, following an actor who did backflips all over the stage, Jason Urso declared that he was "flippin' out over all the neat things he has to show today!" Urso is now marketing director for HPS. He went through the Experion R300 features, first introduced last year at HUG, and noted that the full release of the entire product is coming soon-- R300 systems --are-- shipping... There's a huge system in final test for the world's largest oil company right now. The 2007 release will be a very small one, with the next big release slated for the 2008-ish time frame. Urso talked about Honeywell's vision for UniSym as well. Urso also kept mentioning something that I have been talking about for a while. He noted that over $3.7 million in annual savings has been revealed at the Honeywell plants in Geismar, La. by using these same products and strategies. Again, Urso trumpeted, "the first wireless network designed for the process industries. We have been shipping wireless sensors for a year and a half." In addition, he noted the success of the PKS Advantage program. Urso noted that in the area of asset management, "We will support open standards whether that's FDT/DTM or EDDL and take that information directly into the Experion platform." Urso noted that Honeywell now provides an incredibly useful "automation change manager." Walt Boyes BlackBerry service provided by Nextel
