Happy Thanksgiving!

I am aware that our friends to the north have already celebrated Thanksgiving, and that it is not a world-wide holiday. But it is one of those times when we are encouraged to reflect on our blessings, and thank whoever we believe in for providing them. I am blessed, both personally and professionally. I have a dream career. I have the biggest bully pulpit in the automation industry, to use for the benefit of end-users everywhere. I have a successful consultancy, as well, with a good friend and business partner who is keeping my chair warm. I have a tremendous set of team members who make my life as editor in chief easy...and make it look easy doing it. I get to earn my living writing, and that's what I've always wanted to do. For this astonishing good luck, I am extremely thankful. I have a wonderful family, through thick and thin. My wife and daughter support me, and I them. I am truly thankful for them, not just on Thanksgiving, but everyday. I have made some of the most fantastic friends and colleagues, all over the world. I am thankful for you all, and for your willingness to help me make CONTROL magazine great. May Thanksgiving Day's blessings be also upon each and every one of you. Walt
