Digi-Key Electronics announced Dec. 16 that it expanded its portfolio in 2021 by adding more than 500 new suppliers across its core business, Digi-Key Marketplace and Fulfilled by Digi-Key program, and added more than 125,000 new stock keeping units (SKU) last year. The new suppliers include Siemens, Schneider and QuickLogic, bringing Digi-Key’s total to more than 2,000 worldwide with more than 12.6 million products.
“Even with the difficulties of this year and suppliers having to deal with many abnormal factors, we onboarded more than 500 suppliers to ensure we have the latest products to support the needs of the global engineering community,” says David Stein, vice president of global supplier management VP at for Digi-Key. "Our focus is on continuing to onboard all the right technologies to support the designs of tomorrow.”
Its diverse suppliers and products are accessible via Digi-Key Marketplace, which is a single, unified source for bare PCB boards, industrial automation, test and measurement, IoT solutions and virtually all things related and adjacent to technical innovation. In addition, Fulfilled by Digi-Key's warehouse and logistics center includes the capabilities of a 3PL warehouse, global customer base, and on-demand fulfillment and transaction website to market, sell, pick, pack and ship products worldwide.
