Beamex reported Sept. 28 that it’s created a perpetual, needs-based $10,000 scholarship for a student studying instrumentation in the applied science program at the LyondellBasell Center for Petrochemical, Energy, & Technology at San Jacinto College. The scholarship is funded by proceeds from the 2022 Beamex Annual Calibration Exchange (ACE).
“Beamex is delighted to give back to future automation professionals,” explains Greg Sumners, president for North America Beamex.
This year’s 12th annual Beamex ACE was hosted at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston on Sept. 28-29. This two-day event featured industrial automation sessions on power and energy, pharmaceuticals and water/wastewater.
