FreeWave Nominated for American Technology Award

After the U.K.'s Industrial Automation Insider let the cat out of the bag, Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS) announced that Norm Gilsdorf, who was president since January 2009, has been reassigned and replaced by Darius Adamczyk.

Darius Adamcszyk, new HPS president

Honeywell revealed the changes in a "Note to Editors" that stated, "Formerly president of Honeywell Process Solutions, Norm Gilsdorf, was named president, High Growth Regions, Russia, Central Asia and Middle East for Honeywell on April 19. Gilsdorf's extensive global business experience makes him ideally suited to the requirements of this new role. He will be responsible for strategic planning, prioritizing business investment and establishing the operational structure and processes to ensure Honeywell continues to build on its already strong presence in these regions.

"Also on April 19, Honeywell named Darius Adamczyk as president of Honeywell Process Solutions. Formerly, Adamczyk served as president, Honeywell Scanning & Mobility (HSM). Previous to that, he was chief executive officer of Metrologic, a company Honeywell acquired in 2008. Adamczyk's track record of building a high-performing culture in Honeywell's Scanning and Mobility business, resulting in significant growth and profitability, makes him an ideal leader to build on HPS's strong global installed base and leading technology position. Before that, he held a number of global roles with Ingersoll Rand and Booz Allen Hamilton."

Gilsdorf's new assignment, according to sources at Honeywell, is for Honeywell Inc., not either HPS or Honeywell Automation and Controls.
