Beckhoff will show its PC- and Ethernet-based control technology for building services applications at ISH in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, on March 12-16, 2013. The focus is on heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) as an important component of integrated building automation. A sustainable and energy-efficient solution can only be achieved through optimum interaction of all building services. The integrated hardware and software platform from Beckhoff not only enables the energy saving potential to be fully utilized beyond the efficiency classes required by the EU, it also enables the effort and costs for engineering and building operation to be minimized.

There is an increasing demand for building automation because 40% of global energy consumption occurs in buildings. Planners, system integrators and HVAC suppliers are urged to find saving potentials and use energy as efficiently as possible. Beckhoff's integrated building automation concept, The Beckhoff Bus Terminal system, offers the energy efficieny many automation leaders are searching for. The technology meets the requirements for the top energy efficiency class A, as specified in the European standard EN 15232.
