Endress+Hauser’s RID14 and RID16 field indicators provide local access to a maximum of eight different FOUNDATION Fieldbus variables.
The indicators can be used in listener mode, which doesn't require function block linking. By analyzing cyclic bus data, they can detect the addresses of all devices on the bus. With this information, different measured values, with status, can be assigned to each of eight channels. If no manual selection is made, the indicators configure themselves by taking the lowest address on the bus. Where addition calculation or control functions are required, 2x ISEL, Arithmetic, Integrator and PID blocks are available. LAS functionality is supported.
Conforming to ITK 6 and the Field Diagnostic System specification (NAMUR NE107), diagnostic messages can be allocated as required to four urgency categories, with additional information available when required.
The bus-powered indicators have a large, backlit, high-contrast LC display with bargraph, online sensor status as well as a TAG or unit. The display automatically scrolls through the individual value channels. Various IP67/NEMA4x protected housing types and materials such as fiberglass-reinforced plastic or stainless steel are available as well as general purpose, intrinsically safe and explosion-protected versions with appropriate certification.
