Equipped with a brushless DC motor, B3 battery-powered drum pump has an output of 320 watts, which provides a delivery rate of up to 180 liters per minute and a delivery head of 11.8 meters water column—making its performance comparable to a cable-connected pump. It can transfer up to 5,800 liters on one battery charge, and runs at 70 dB (A), which is reported to be quieter than a vacuum cleaner.
B3’s modular design allows its deployment in many different liquids, and lets it combine with a range of components, including a 1.2 kg motor with removable battery, a pump tube with several versions that can be screwed on via a handwheel, a hose and a dosing gun. While pump tube models made of polypropylene (PP) are suitable for low-viscosity acids, sodium hydroxide and ammonia water, those constructed from polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) are used with concentrated alkali solutions and acids, such as chloric acid and sulfuric acid. Meanwhile, aluminum pump tube models are used with diesel, heating oil and hydraulic oil, while its FDA-compliant, stainless-steel model is deployed with food-industry fluids.
The maximum viscosity of the pumped media is 700 millipascal-seconds (mPas), but B3 also has the option of combining its modular-battery motor with an eccentric screw pump for pumping highly viscous media. It can also be combined with hybrid mixing-pumping tubes and patented residual emptying pump tubes, which enables simultaneous mixing of liquids during pumping and emptying of drums down to the last 0.10 liter.
