Download the Emerson Exchange Mobile App: If you have a QR code reader on your smartphone or tablet, simply scan this code to download the Emerson Exchange mobile app (or point your smartphone browser to ddut.ch/emrex15 ). This interactive app will help you dynamically manage your schedule this week and even help introduce you to industry peers.
A link to the web-based interface is available at the
EmersonExchange.org home page. Log in with the same user ID and password you used to register for the conference (or with the email associated with your registration), then browse the Session Catalog by topic, day or presentation type. Flag the sessions of interest then add them one by one to your schedule. Or, ask the application to automatically populate your customized schedule with sessions of specific interest. Session selections are automatically reflected in the Emerson Exchange mobile app, where you can continue to refine your session selections throughout the week, and even synch them to your personal calendaring app.
The app itself is available for download at ddut.ch/emrex15, or use the QR code accompanying this article The mobile app has several advantages, including dynamic updates and email notifications. This is particularly important this year because event organizers will be monitoring attendees' collective plans and may dynamically reassign rooms to ensure that all interested attendees can find a seat in high interest sessions
Downloading the Exchange app will also allow you to participate in a new audience polling functionality that some presenters plan to use during their sessions, as well as the session evaluation and feedback forms that the Exchange Board relies on to continue to improve the conference experience year after year.
Other features within this intuitive app can help you to navigate from one session to the next; find the products in the Technology Exhibits you are most interested in seeing and learning about; and search for other Exchange attendees, including peers and Emerson subject matter experts. You can message them from within the app to ask a question or arrange a face-to-face meetup.
