Cybersecurity hits CNN  Joe can't apparently post directly to the blog right now, so while we're figuring it out, here's a post he sent to the SCADA list this morning: The DHS test was a faithful representation of a control system attack on a real piece of mechanical rotating equipment. However, NERC's response is to denigrate the test: "The video is not a realistic representation of how the power system would operate". It is unclear who NERC thinks they are helping. A point that was made on the CNN program, Anderson Cooper 360, is that DHS is spending $12 Million/year on control system cyber security. What do they expect to accomplish with this lavish expenditure? What Joe didn't say in his post was that he, himself, was on Anderson Cooper last night, and was extensively quoted. --Walt Boyes
