WirelessHART Products Rolling Out From Many Vendors

WirelessHART Products Rolling Out From Many Vendors

From MACTek, the latest iteration of their "Bullet" WirelessHART adapter, with new features and functionality, as outlined in the April Control product exclusive. Now, ABB, Emerson and MACTek now make adapters so that existing wired HART devices can be used in a WirelessHART network.

Emerson Process Management introduced a WirelessHART version of the Rosemount 2160 tuning fork liquid level switch, with FM, UL, CSA and ATEX intrinsic safety ratings. The 2160 comes in two models that cover a very wide temperature range.

Phoenix Contact introduced a WirelessHART gateway to compete with the one that Emerson has had available for over a year. End users now have the ability to use more than one vendor's gateway, and be assured they will be completely interchangeable and interoperable.

Pepperl+Fuchs also introduced
a wireless gateway product for WirelessHART, as well as a WirelessHART adapter and a
WirelessHART Temperature Converter as their first product entries. Now that makes three gateway vendors, three adapter vendors, and multiple field device vendors.

And ProComSol introduced Revision 4.0 of their very popular DevCom2000 Smart Device Communicator Software for HART. This revision adds support for HART 7 and WirelessHART devices.
