Hate to be the Voice of Doom here, but just in case you missed it, this story is out on the wires now.  LyondellBasell has filed for Chapter 11. This isn't really "hot" news in the sense that it's been predicted all weekend, but on top of all the other filings, layoffs, shut-downs, cutbacks, etc., it's getting harder and harder to believe that the automation professions are going to be all that immune from the larger economic illness.
