ODVA leadership elected for upcoming 23rd term

Leaders for ODVA’s upcoming 23rd term were elected and announced at its 22nd annual members meeting

The leaders for ODVA’s upcoming 23rd term were elected and announced at its 22nd annual members meeting on Oct. 19 in El Vendrell, Spain. This concluded the organization’s successful 22nd term, which was highlighted by expanding its membership to 400 companies, a host of EtherNet/IP enhancements that address security, process automation and single-pair Ethernet (SPE), an increased focused on global cooperation, and an acceleration of digital communication and content, including virtual learning and educational videos.

ODVA’s board of directors has top-level responsibility for strategic planning and governance, and is composed of senior executives from major industrial automation device and system vendors worldwide. In the 23rd term, ODVA’s directors are:

• Dr. Rolf Birkhofer, managing director of Endress+Hauser Process Solutions

• Jon DeSouza, president and CEO of Harting Americas

• Satoshi Kojima, general manager of network product management group, controller division for OMRON

• Davis Mathews, SVP of industry management and automation at Phoenix Contact USA

• Scott Miller, VP of digital and platform technologies at Rockwell Automation

• Thomas Petersen, senior director of fieldbus and system integration at Danfoss

• Brian Reynolds, CTO of projects and automation solutions at Honeywell

• André Uhl, VP of technology and architecture at Schneider Electric

The corporate leadership of the organization collectively defines and executes the strategic plan, oversees development and publication of technology and specifications, and is responsible for governance of the organization. In the 23rd term, ODVA’s corporate officers are:

ODVA’s technical review board (TRB) oversees development of technology and standards for the organization, including approval of technology enhancements for inclusion in the ODVA specifications, which encompass the Common Industrial Protocol (CIP) and its network adaptations of CIP, including EtherNet/IP and DeviceNet.
