Three-Beam Flowmeter

Sept. 26, 2003
Krohne's UFM 3030

The UFM 3030 flowmeter uses three ultrasonic beams in parallel to cover a wide flow profile, with the third beam used to improve accuracy of the measurement. It measures flow in pipes from 1-120 in. dia. with 0.5% accuracy and 0.2% repeatability, regardless of conductivity, viscosity, temperature, density, and pressure. Applications range from drinking water to heavy crude oils and LPG.
