Industrial control centers and control rooms have been some of the places were these changes have been dramatic.

In the past, control rooms were filled with large panels and the support instrumentation had to be housed in an adjacent room. Now, thanks to Human Factor Engineering (HFE), modern controls rooms not only house the PCs and PC workstations but also the people that use this technology.
