CALGARY, ALBERTA - APRIL 10, 2007 -- Invensys Process Systems, a supplier of instrumentation, automation systems, software, and services for the industrial process industries, has announced that it has significantly expanded it's overall customer sales, engineering, and support capabilities in Western Canada.
"As one element of our expanded footprint in Western Canada, we've recently broken ground for a brand new, 15,500 square foot regional headquarters facility in South East Calgary. This will be twice as large as our present Calgary facility and will have three times the staging area to accommodate staging, testing, and verification of our customers' automation systems. The new facility, scheduled for completion next fall, will also include a state-of-the art customer center, complete with meeting spaces, a training facility, and a fully equipped demonstration area," commented Patrick Doyle, Western Canada Regional Director at Invensys Process Systems.
"Over the last 18 months, we've also doubled our local sales force for the Invensys suite of products, which includes Foxboro I/A Series distributed control systems (DCS), Triconex safety integrated systems (SIS), SimSci-Esscor simulation software, Avantis enterprise asset management (EAM) software, Invensys performance services, and our recently introduced InFusion enterprise control system technology. We've more than doubled our local engineering capacity to increase our project implementation capabilities and supplement our end users' and EPCs' own engineering resources. We've expanded our regional field service team to help ensure maximum system uptime and performance. And as we announced last year, Invensys has named Simark Controls Ltd. as the exclusive full-service representative for Foxboro's range of high-quality instrumentation in Alberta and British Columbia," Doyle further commented.
Invensys and Simark are demonstrating a wide variety of Invensys instruments, systems, and software at ISA Calgary 2007 Booth #151, April 11 & 12, 2007. Invensys also has a long-standing relationship with Intec Controls, the company's authorized representative in both Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
In recent months, Invensys successfully implemented the company's advanced InFusion enterprise control system technology at the Kemess Mine in Smithers, British Columbia and has announced that - in addition to the Foxboro DCS already installed at the Husky ethanol refinery in Lloydminster - it is also providing a state-of-the-art Foxboro system for Husky's new ethanol refinery under construction in Minnedosa, Manitoba.
