Invensys and Integralis Deliver Managed Security Services

Process Control Software Vendor, Invensys Process Systems, Announces Partnership with Integralis

Invensys Process Systems  partners up with Integralis to offer 24/7 network security monitoring and management.

The Invensys portfolio of cyber security services includes customized assessments, architecture design, implementation and management. Examples of customized services include site and vulnerability assessments, policy requirement drafting, security architecture and policy development, modernization of existing technology and continuous management, review, testing and optimization.

Integralis extends the Invensys portfolio by providing managed security services through a global network of fully redundant Security Operations Centers. Integralis provides managed security services around best-of-breed perimeter security, content security, threat and vulnerability management and secure authentication devices. After Invensys consultants design and implement a program, the customer can leverage Integralis’ network of global centers, staffed 24/7 by security experts with the tools and information to provide ongoing management and apprise them of threats.

“All too many times, security architectures are implemented and forgotten,” says Doug Clifton, global cyber security leader at Invensys. “The managed security service provided by Integralis enables the full capabilities of each security device. It has professionals on staff and multiple security operation centers that provide a global view of virus and worm outbreaks and real-time situational awareness for clients. It also provides remote backups, restore and fault isolation and resolution of installed security devices.”

One of the first adopters of Invensys’ cyber security protection services is Husky Energy’s upgrader plant in Lloyd-minster, Saskatchewan, Canada. Invensys will provide assessment, design, implementation and real-time management of security Husky’s plant and production networks. Integralis will provide 24/7 network monitoring and management.

Companies such as Husky Energy outsource monitoring of their cyber security for two main reasons—efficiency and improvement of their security posture, says Robin Mayo, president, Integralis Americas. “We continuously see companies that have spent a small fortune in security infrastructures that fail to achieve the level of security they require because of ineffective monitoring and management of devices once they are in place.

Offloading security monitoring and management allows internal staff to focus on core business issues.”
