You do not have to be a big automation company to do things right. In fact, it sometimes helps if you aren't so big that you have to fight turf battles with competing internal resource centers.

RTP is a nifty little company that you may well have never heard of. They have been around a very long time. They don't make stuff that is pretty. They make control systems that WORK. (Look, Keith Larson pays me to be impartial, not stupid...if it works, I'm going to say so, and it ain't a commercial).

EXIDA CERTIFIES RTP 3000 CRITICAL CONTROL SYSTEM FOR FUNCTIONAL INTEGRITY

SELLERSVILLE, PA  (August 10, 2011) -- exida, an accredited global certification company, has certified the RTP 3000 control system for functional integrity, ensuring that it meets the cyber-security requirements of the ISA Security Compliance Institutes’ (ISCI) ISASecure Level 2, and the functional safety requirements for Safety Integrity Level (SIL) 3 capable per IEC 61508.
