Andrew Bond

With over 30 years of experience as a writer and commentator in the industrial market, Andrew Bond is currently a contributing editor for Control Global magazine and the publisher of Industrial Automation INSIDER, a newsletter providing industrial measurement and control systems users and suppliers with a monthly update on the continuing evolution and convergence of systems technologies.


Hesh Kagan

Invensys Process Systems Director of Technology for New Business Development. Hesh has worked in the automation and controls industry for over 25 years. He's headed Foxboro's systems engineering group for a number of years and was part of the original team that developed the Foxboro I/A Series process control system, the worlds first distributed control system based on Ethernet, Unix and open standards. Mr. Kagan leads the effort to coordinate development and technology of new technologies and business opportunities across Invensys. Mr. Kagan is currently coordinating the wireless strategy and product development for the Invensys group. He is a founding member and past president of WINA. Mr. Kagan has numerous articles and publications in the automation field and is a frequent panelist at industry gatherings.

Dr. Penny Chen

Dr. Chen is Principal Systems Architect at Yokogawa's Industrial Automation Global Strategic Technology Marketing Center. Chen manages the company's technology standardization and marketing strategy focusing on wireless, networking and security. Chen is actively involved in ISA100 (Wireless Systems for Automation), ISA99 (Manufacturing and Control Systems Security), ISA Security Compliance Institute (ISCI), and ISA Wireless Compliance Institute (WCI). She is currently co-chair of the ISA100.15 Wireless Backhaul Backbone Network Working Group. She has worked as Senior Architect, Technical Marketing and Product Marketing Manager at Intel, Alcatel-Lucent, and a start up company where she focused on wireless networking technologies and security solutions for a wide range of wireless technologies including Bluetooth, WiFi, and 2G/2.5G/3G mobile technologies. Chen received a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University.

David Kaufman

Director of Business Development for the Honeywell Process Solutions business with over 25 years of experience in industrial automation. He has a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University, an MBA from St. Joseph's University in Pennsylvania, and a Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Honeywell. He is currently an Executive Committee Member for the HART Communications Foundation, Vice President of the Wireless Industrial Network Alliance (WINA) and a Board Member of the ISA Wireless Compliance Institute (WCI).
