We have been informed that Control is a "finalist" for the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) Azbee Awards. We are a "finalist" in the under 80,000 circulation category, for Magazine of the Year.
We will find out whether we are a Gold, Silver or Bronze National Award Winner on July 16, in Washington DC.
The issues we submitted were the April, May and June issues from 2008.
Our sister publication, Control Design, has been a winner in the Magazine of the Year category twice in the past five years, and we are very pleased to have received the same recognition.
The fact is, Control is a team effort, that builds on 15 years of continuous excellence before I ever got here. Part of this award goes to Keith Larson and Paul Studebaker, my predecessors as Editor-in-chief of Control. And much of this award goes to the people who wrote the issues we submitted, and to the editorial team: Nancy Bartels, Jim Montague and Dan Hebert.
I am delighted to be able to say thank you to my team.
