Dear Professor Bela Liptak,
Greetings from Pune, India!
Hope you remember all of us myself Sujata, our Director Prof. Abhyankar
and all Pune team.

With the encouragement and inspiration from you, we the Mission Innovation
group in Pune which is active in spreading the attainments of Automation,
has decided to institute and started from this year “B. G. Liptak
Excellence Award” for project.  This trophy and a cash prize INR 10000/-
will be given every year by Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, our
organization.

The theme behind this award is to encourage budding engineers to think
differently and propose solutions to real life problems.
This is a National level project competition in which this year we
received 180 entries under 6 different streams. Based on the synopsis
submitted 36 groups were short listed.
These students demonstrated their skills in different engineering areas
such as Sensors and automation, embedded systems, networking and operating
systems.

Mr. Pratik Banga, Prathmash Kulkarni, Kushal Shah and Ashish  Khatri  with
project “ Automatic Number Plate recognition system” was selected for the
first B. G. Liptak Excellence Award.
