Endress+Hauser reported March 29 that it's joined the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance to support development of a clean and competitive hydrogen industry in Europe. The alliance's goal is to achieve CO2 neutrality in the process industry by the middle of the century by introducing hydrogen technologies. It's expected to play a crucial role in implementing the European Union's green hydrogen strategy.

Red Lion Controls, an operating company of U.K.-based Spectris plc, reported April 4 that it's acquired MB connect line GmbH, which enables secure connection of machines and plants for remote access, data collection, and M2M-communication.

Emerson reported March 30 that college and university students studying in the fields of engineering, instrumentation, systems or automation are urged to apply by May 30, 2022, for its 2022 ASCO Engineering Scholarship program, which rewards students for academic excellence, service to others and leadership potential. Emerson will award two scholarship packages of $5,000 each and a $1,000 grant to each college's engineering department. ABB reported April 6 that it's installed its ABB Ability System 800xA distributed control system (DCS) automation platform to upgrade three grinding units at Star Super Cement in Dubai, UAE, and ensure optimized operations at Star Cement's clinkerization plant in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.
