To support customers in southeast China, safety automation provider HIMA Group opened a new service center on May 31 in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province, China. HIMA has a large installed base in southeast China, and supports users with safety engineering and lifecycle services to operate their plants safely and efficiently, and achieve added value by digitalizing functional safety.

The HIMA China Zhanjiang Service Center was opened to provide even better support to customers in southeastern China, especially to the new BASF Verbund facility in Zhanjiang, where HIMA solutions will be deployed. This site will use the latest digital technologies and apply the highest safety standards, and will serve as a role model for smart manufacturing and sustainable production.

“Opening this service center is another important milestone for HIMA, and follows our strategy to strengthen our customer partnerships and support safety solutions close to our customers,” says Jörg de la Motte, CEO of HIMA Group.

The center will combine digital tools from HIMA with jointly developed security concepts. This will enable effective implementation of a safety management system that complies with national Chinese and international safety and security standards.

“This new service center aims to give our customers the best lifecycle services,” says Yao Zhou, managing director of HIMA China. “BASF Verbund Zhanjiang will be the most important focus of this service center, but it will also cover southeast China’s service needs.”

Peter Sieber, strategic marketing VP at HIMA, adds, “I’m pleased that HIMA China is growing its business on solid steps. The opening of the Zhanjiang Service Center marks another important milestone of the development of HIMA in China.”
