Flexware Innovation LLC, a Hitachi Ltd. company, announced Aug. 19 that it’s purchased Castle Hill Technologies LLC, which is a 25-year-old pharmaceutical-engineering services company. Flexware reports the acquisition will sharpen its life sciences focus, bolster its customer advocacy, and accelerate its shop- to top-floor connections with Lumada technologies, which use Hitachi’s advanced digital tools to generate value from customer data and accelerate digital innovation.
Flexware adds that Castle Hill will complement its teams due to its experience in process automation, owner’s rep services, validation, large project management, and system integration for digital transformation. An owner’s representative serves as an extension of a company’s design, planning and execution for new and updated facility buildouts from design to delivery of a project on a company’s behalf.
Flexware will leverage Castle Hill’s extensive expertise to complement the capabilities of JR Automation*3 and Flexware. This partnership is driven by a shared commitment to enhancing the capabilities and support for Castle Hill’s existing customer base, which includes notable global brands. The synergy between Flexware and Castle Hill underscores a strategic alignment aimed at continued growth and innovation.
“I’m very happy to have Castle Hill as a new member of the Flexware team,” says Scott Whitlock, CEO at Flexware. “Moving forward, we’ll strive to solve customers’ challenges and maximize their corporate value by combining Flexware’s solutions, Castle Hill’s engineering consulting capability, and the extreme engineering and line-building capability of JR Automation.”
Established in 1980 and acquired by Hitachi in 2019, JR Automation provides intelligent, automated manufacturing technology in the automotive, life sciences and aerospace sectors.
“Our people are passionate about solving problems for our customers. This new partnership with Flexware Innovation will allow us to do that on a larger stage, with strong vision and backing from a respected global technology company,” adds Robin Lowery, president of Castle Hill, who will remain at its helm and partner with Flexware’s leadership. “We’ developed a unique culture at Castle Hill that merges perfectly with Flexware’s culture. I’m genuinely excited about our future together.”
