HighByte reported Oct. 29 that its Intelligence Hub information security management system has been certified as compliant with the ISO 27001:2022 (ISO 27001) standard following an independent assessment by AssurancePoint, an accredited certification body.

The company reports its ISO 27001 certification accelerates its ability to address the security requirements of its global customer base, who want to be assured that using Intelligence Hub meets internal security requirements and objectives. ISO 27001 provides a framework for managing sensitive information, and specifies requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continuously improving data security management systems.

“Security is a key factor influencing the vendors and products that businesses choose to engage with,” says Tony Paine, CEO at HighByte. “Certifications like ISO 27001 are crucial in helping our customers feel confident that security is front and center in how we operate our business and engineer our products. The company’s ISO 27001 certification marks how much we’ve matured as an industrial DataOps leader, and that we’re continuously monitoring and improving our security posture over time.”

HighByte reports this certification validates that it’s:

  • Following software design practices that prioritize rapid response to defects and security bulletins;
  • Has the appropriate documentation in place to cover physical, digital and HR-related security items; and
  • Following processes for detecting, communicating, documenting and responding to breaches, meeting internationally recognized standards.

“Our customers trust us to provide a data architecture that ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of their data,” adds Paine. “Receiving ISO 27001 certification doesn’t mean we’re finished with our compliance requirements. Instead, they’ll continually evolve, and we’ll remain committed to integrating the necessary security measures in our practices and products that customers require.”
