Siemens and Sparepartsnow expand access to refurbished automation products

Combining Siemens' refurbishment expertise with Sparepartsnow's digital reach will enable industrial circularity

Siemens reported Sept. 9 that it’s partnering with Sparepartsnow GmbH to make its refurbished automation products more easily accessible. Using the Germany-based platform’s B2B marketplace, customers can buy manufacturer-refurbished Siemens products. Initially available in Europe for a defined portfolio of automation products, the companies plan to continuously expand its product range and regional availability.

Their new approach combines Siemens' expertise as the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) in refurbishing its automation products with Sparepartsnow's digital platform, which gives users a new avenue for acquiring refurbished drives, controllers and HMI panels. Extending product lifecycles and keeping equipment running longer, the partnership supports operational continuity and contributing to a more circular and sustainable economy.

"This partnership with Sparepartsnow reinforces our commitment to providing customers with circular-lifecycle solutions without compromising on quality or performance.” Says Stefan Jäger, head of circular product services at Siemens. “Customers can confidently choose Siemens’ refurbished products, knowing they meet the original manufacturer’s high-quality standards. Every product undergoes a rigorous refurbishment process and comprehensive testing to ensure it meets its original technical specifications, performance characteristics, and applicable industry and safety standards.”

Dr. Christian Hoffart, CEO of Sparepartsnow, adds, "This partnership with Siemens transforms circularity into a scalable solution, bringing value to our industrial customers. As these products were refurbished by their original manufacturer, we and our customers can trust in Siemens’ quality and reliability."
