Rockwell Device Integration Documents Save Time and Cost When Integrating to PlantPAx System

March 2, 2013
Rockwell Automation and Endress+Hauser provide end users with a single document containing tested methods for integrating a device into the PlantPAx system

There are hundreds of different components in a typical plant: controllers, remote I/O, electrical drives, safety equipment, actuators and sensors. Each must be wired, powered and configured and integrated into the system as part of a normal start-up. Recognizing the challenges this creates, with multiple devices, tools and manuals, Rockwell Automation and Endress+Hauser provide end users with a single document containing tested methods for integrating a device into the PlantPAx system, which helps to reduce risk, and minimize time and effort during start-up.

Rockwell Automation has created a full library of integration documents, which supply information on installation, configuration, startup and operation, and provide assurance that these field devices meet PlantPAx system interoperability performance measures. A series of these documents is based on testing the compatibility of Endress+Hauser instruments via FOUNDATION fieldbus to the PlantPAx system.

Please visit the Rockwell Automation website to view FOUNDATION fieldbus integration documents for: Promass 83 Flowmeter, iTEMP TMT 162 Temperature Transmitter, Prowirl 73 Flowmeter, Cerabar S Pressure Transmitter and Deltabar S Differential Pressure Transmitter. The library also contains integration documents for HART, Profibus and EtherNet/IP technology, as well as test reports for many other device suppliers.
