The Process Library of Objects helps you reduce development time with a PlantPAx process automation system from Rockwell Automation. Each object in the Process Library has an associated faceplate, which not only provides visualization to the end user, but with proper credentials, also enables application configuration. Directly from the faceplate appropriate personnel have access to a multitude of vendor devices, including those operating via FOUNDATION fieldbus, and their configurable parameters.
The PlantPAx faceplates require no additional configuration. Available features and functions for a given object are displayed and organized on faceplate tabs where access is controlled based on the role of the logged-in user. This approach enables quick and effective operational decisions without cluttering displays with unnecessary information. In addition, faceplate positioning can be defined for each object instance such that faceplates open where they obscure the least amount of underlying process data.
