Tasi continuing to grow its flow segment business

Tasi Group announced May 9 that it's continuing to grow its flow segment business by buying Sierra Instruments, a global specialist in flow measurement instrumentation and testing. This is the second acquisition finalized by Tasi in just two months; it reported on April 26 that it bought Onicon, which designs and manufactures flowmeters and energy management systems.

Sierra consists of two divisions: Flow in Monterey, Calif., and Auto in Malvern, U.K. The Flow division manufactures mass flowmeters and flow controllers for gas, liquid or steam applications. The Auto division builds complex, custom, integrated test facilities and engine and vehicle test automation systems.

With these acquisitions, Tasi's flow business presently includes: Air Monitor, AW-Lake Co., Exact Dispensing Systems, Fox Thermal, Greyline, Kem Kuppers Electromechanik GmbH, Litre Meter, Onicon, Pulsar Process Measurement, Seametrics, Sierra Instruments, SignalFire Wireless Telemetry and Vogtlin Instruments GmbH.
