The tourist center of Acapulco on the pacific coast of Mexico constructed a plant to provide fresh drinking water to a community of 10,000 inhabitants. The design utilizes new technology including ethernet communication between control cabinets.

Task

  • Automation of 6 closed sand filters
  • Selection and optimization of butterfly valves with double acting actuators and limit valves to control the inlet and outlet of filters
  • Design and production of control cabinets with ethernet to control valves and actuators
  • Ability to override and control the timing of the system via pushbuttons mounted on cabinet
