Best Practices in New, Larger Plant for U.S. Customs Border Control Fight Against Terrorism

Samson will join more than 10,000 companies by U.S. Customs and Border Security Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program best practices at the new manufacturing and logistics facility in Baytown, TX. The C-TPAT sets clear standards for partners, which in turn, leads to faster shipping. "By implementing C-TPAT, our customers know that we are committed to their security as well as ours," says James Evans, Managing Director & COO of Samson Products.

The new Baytown, TX facility is three time larger than previous plant. It also has expanded stock and capabilities to meet local customer demands for low-maintenance control valves. Samson Products manufactures globe style stem-guided valves in carbon steel, stainless steel, bronze, low-temperature cast steel and cast iron, all to be used for controlling the flow of chemicals, petrochemicals, industrial gases and steam applications. The larger facility is also expected to contain increased stock and support capabilities for butterfly, ball and plug valves and PTFE/PFA lined valves manufactured by Samson Group companies, Leusch, Vetec and Pfeiffer.

"By keeping the sales, engineering and service with manufacturing, stocking, and support in Texas, we are able to quickly respond to the needs of our local customers along the Houston ship channel and across the Gulf Coast and the U.S.," says Marketing Specialist Kari Sokolow.
