These are unusual times and this is an unusual blog. Cyber security threats often increase during or following  natural or man-made disasters. As an example, there were additional cyber security concerns following Katrina when there was a need for remote support for the petrochemical and power plants in the affected area. The CoronaVirus has also spurred cyber security concerns where there are more needs for remote access to commercial and industrial facilities. There have been many public notices about IT systems being targeted. I don’t think it takes much to realize control systems will be targeted also especially for companies making critical products. There are still very few experts on securing the control systems beyond securing OT networks.
