At his "Insourcing American Jobs" forum on Jan. 11 with business leaders, President Obama talked about his hope for the future. "I don't want America to be a nation that’s primarily known for financial speculation and racking up debt buying stuff from other nations. I want us to be known for making and selling products all over the world stamped with three proud words: Made in America." --from www.nacfam.org.
Obama is the first President since nearly forever who really believes this, and, as I posted yesterday, is willing to put our money where his mouth is. If you want to really have an impact on ending the recession, start buying stuff "Made in USA" instead of just buying any old stuff from anywhere. You can't buy everything here, but if we buy what we can, we will support American manufacturing and American jobs that pay well, and we won't all be fighting to be clerks at McDonalds.
