IPad hits the plant floor

Nov. 10, 2011
Michelle Wagner from Putman Media had an editorial in the October 2011 issue of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing – “IPad hits the plant floor”.  Her focus was on the productivity improvements this type of technology will bring. The concept of security was not considered. This reinforces the difference in thought process in many industries between Operations where productivity (and safety) rules compared to IT where security rules.  There is a real need to integrate these two communities.
